On Monday, 16th of June 2008, Directorate General of Higher Education facilitated the info session themed “Study in the Netherland” which was given by NESO (Netherland Education Support Office) Indonesia.
Netherland has a lot to offer. Beside their unique geograpichal site as a gateway to Europe and their multicultural environment, many people come to experience their top quality education. There are 1300 international study program and courses taught in English in varied field of study, which lead to bachelor, master, PhD, short course and tailor-need program. Those programs can be chosen among 14 research universities, 42 universities of professional studies, and 11 institutes for international education. Since 2000, NESO offer various full scholarships through Young Moslem Leader Scholarship, HSP Huygens Scholarship Program, NFP (Netherland Fellowship Program), and StuNed. The latest is a bilateral program between Government of Republic of Indonesia and The Netherland. It focus on strengthening human resources capacity in Indonesian institutions in relevant sectors such as : basic and higher education, HIV/AIDS and reproductive health, environment, water management and sanitation, trade, community based development, good governance & human rights, gender, and culture. Government official, lecturer, NGO, and journalist are invited to apply.
