COMBATTING THE SCOURGE OF DENGUE FEVER
30, 31 OCTOBER 2007; 8,14,15,19 NOVEMBER 2007
Dengue Fever is now endemic in most tropical Asian countries with the numbers of reported cases, and deaths, rising inexorably. Working with a CD-ROM specially developed by the Welcome Trust and the UNICEF/UNDP/WB/WHO Special Program on Research and Training in Tropical Diseases, GDLN Asia-Pacific announced a unique training program for healthcare practitioners in Indonesia.
The participants update their personal knowledge of all aspects of dengue prevention and control and share their local experience with other countries' participants, thus further building capacity and regional collaboration in controlling dengue fever.
The program is jointly organized by Directorate General of Higher Education, GDLN Indonesia (DLC-UI, DLC-UNUD, DLC-UNRI, and DLC-UNHAS), and the World Bank. We are also grateful to all sponsors for their valuable supports.
